Written for Ray Bradbury’s fanzine, Futuria Fantasia, published as “Heil!” by “Lyle Monroe” in Spring 1940 issue; slightly re-written for a Sam Moskowitz anthology in 1970, at which time the late opus number was assigned, the story having been forgotten when the opus system was created in 1948; title restored and collected into Expanded Universe as “Successful Operation”; other Anthology appearances: Futures to Infinity (ed. Samuel J. Moskowitz, Pyramid, 1970).
